Mr Gareth Vaughan Williams
Lecturer in Paramedic Science
Gareth Vaughan Williams is a Lecturer in Paramedic Science at the University of Greenwich. Gareth has recently joined us in March 2021, previously working for South East Coast Ambulance service as an operational Paramedic in Kent.
Gareth has had a long history of working in healthcare, from working as a Healthcare Assistant in acute hospital wards to taking emergency calls for Welsh Ambulance Service. In 2016, Gareth began working for South East Coast Ambulance Service as an Emergency Care Support Worker progressing to Associate Practitioner. He then proceeded to commence his Paramedic Science BSc (Hons) in September 2017 in St George’s University of London, alongside working full time for the ambulance service. After graduating, he assisted Katie Duncan with the Continuing Professional Development training at Thanet Operational Unit. In 2020, Gareth assumed the role of CPD lead for Thanet Operating Unit and continues to fulfill this role as an operational part-time Paramedic.
Gareth will be working alongside the Paramedic Science lecturer at the University of Greenwich and is aiming to commence his PGCert in Higher Education in September.
